I acknowledge the traditonal custodians of the land on which I live, learn and work, the Darug people of the Eora Nation, and pay my respects to Elders both past, present and emerging.
Bloom From Within is a mixed media collage I created for a brief in my Design Research Project subject, completed in third year. The brief tasked us with the challenge of creating a poster that represented the essence of our self identity.

The medium of mixed media was explored, as it allowed me to use multiple layers and materials that visually represent the multiple and intricate layers to my personality. The final piece showcases a harmonious, yet chaotic mix of hand drawn illustrations, digitally rendered illustrations, and magazine cutouts, merging physical processes with digital, to take the audience on a journey of self identity in my third year of university.

The warm, inviting color palette employed in "Bloom From Within" adds an extra layer of depth to the piece, creating a visual warmth that resonates with the core of my identity. Through this artwork, I wanted to convey that my self-identity is not a static concept but rather a dynamic and evolving mosaic of experiences, passions, and expressions, and I hope it inspires the audience to reflect on their own.
